DX6i Throttle Kill Set Up
I understand how the Throttle Cut function works and this is good for engine equipped models, but I want a Throttle Kill for my electric models for safety reasons.
Mix 1 and 2 show that the throttle channel can be mixed with any other channel, but when trying to mix throttle with a switch to provide a positive motor kill switch for safety purposes, I have not been able to get it to work. Used the Gear switch to activate the kill function and tried both the ON and MIX switches to activate the Mix.
Any suggestions short of replacing the Throttle Cut pushbutton with a toggle switch that requires you to lift the toggle up to move it to the kill position? That is my next step if I can not solve the programming.
This model will have dual aileron servos and I want to retain that function so that I can use differential and with a little jury rigging, add slight spoiler for landings. Looks like I have that part worked out so far.
Thanks for the help.

DX6i Throttle Kill Set Up - Switch Info
Jerzzy, My switch came in today, but getting ready for a trip so will not get it installed for a couple of weeks. Can provide you with info on model number etal if you are interested.
It is a lever lock so you have to lift the switch to move to kill position for electric and it will stay in the kill position till you lift the lever and move back to center off. If flying fuel, lift lever and move to kill position (opposite direction and release when engine kills and switch returns to center off.
Wiring wise, one wire to the pushbutton will wire to the center pole and the other wire will go to one end of the switch with a jumper to the other end. So same action either direction, switch just locks in the CUT position in one direction, momentary in the opposite.

Throttle mix
I personally don't have a DX6i to try it out for you but I think that you should be able to mix Throttle to Throttle (master and slave), select a switch, and set the percentage(s) to bring the throttle channel down to 0 or off.

DX6i Throttle Kill Set Up
Len, thanks for the reply, but have already tried that. There is a thread on RC Groups that says that there is a problem with software andit sure seems lie it to me or else a mis-print in the manual as the manual implies it will work. You can select it in the transmitter, it just doesn't work.
